1972

Initially, the convent was started with a view to impart health services to the people of the village. In the year 2000, the health centre was converted into a Home for the Aged. At present there are 18 inmates. The sisters reach out to the Old and the Aged- men and women- to lead a life of fullness. They also assist a few paralytic patients.


There are 5 sisters in the community. They participate in all the Church activities and functions and visit the families.

1986

There are 3 Sisters in the community. Two sisters work in the St. Mary’s centre for the Paralytic and disabled at Gopshitta.
1 Sister is set aside for Pastoral Work and visit to the families.
 The Paralytic centre which was started here was shifted to Gopshitta in the year 2012, due to want of more space.

Healing of the Paralytic patients. Patients coming from different parts of the country are brought on stretcher but they walk back home, when they are discharged. The hospital has enough facilities to treat the IPD and OPD patients.

The Sisters are running a primary school up to class IV.
There is a hostel for working women/ students pursuing their studies in the nearby colleges. Sisters also render service in pastoral and social activities.

Initially Sisters started K.G. classes which is being upgraded to a High School. The school got affiliated to CBSE in the year _____.  Social awareness is created among the students and they are encouraged to help the poor and the hungry.
